Last day of '08

So, it's the last day of '08. There's approximately 2 hours until the new year and I figured I would write an end of the year blog like everyone else.

I started blogging in September of this year.

I got my eyebrow pierced after days/hours/minutes of nervousness.

I bought a super huge, super awesome poster of the beatles.

My sister had her baby this year! Making me an aunt! He's the cutest thing EVAR!

My old junker car finally gave it's last mile. My dad bought me a new car and it's a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. LOVE IT! It's my baby.

Apparently I can last 1 minute and 9 seconds chained to a bunkbed with a velociraptor.

I participated in my first election. Only 20 days til inaguration. Congrats, Obama. Good luck!

I saw Sweeney Todd, the play, LIVE! It was awesome!

I turned 18 this year, back in February. Being 18 had it's ups and downs for me. On the plus side, I had completely freedom. On the minus side, I'm now an adult which takes away a lot of things. Like, I have to buy my own food, cook it, I have to do my own laundry, my own dishes, pay my own bills. Sucks! But oh well.

Um, I lost my job back in April due to store bancrupcy.

I graduated from High School, May '08. That was an epic event. Talk about butterflies. Before graduation, some of my friends and I had a bbq at the beach. I think to kind of celebrate.

Let's see..

My mom passed away in June. That was tough but it's getting a little easier after 6 months. NO, I'm not completely over it, I never will be, but I wont let depression hold me back.

What else.

Oh, I started college at K-State in August. I passed the semester but apparently I'm on an academic warning because my GPA is below 2.0 Who cares, I'm moving to a new school in 12 days. Screw you, K-State.

That's pretty much it actually.

OH

My friends and I had another bbq in July and I think we may have officially started a tradition. We'll see in '09.

Now I think I'm done. I didnt have an eventful year but it was still decent either way.

See ya'll in '09!

Merry Christmas!

And Happy Holidays!

I had a great christmas this year. The one thing I wanted I couldnt get but it was still good. My dad's gf came over and her 3 kids, and her daughters had their boyfriends over. Our house felt kinda small when everyone was here. We got to open our presents christmas eve and this is what i got:

1) 4 shirts; 3 long sleeved, 1 short sleeved. the short sleeved one has a really awesome picture of a skull on it. love it!
2) Some perfume and lotion.
3) bubble bath! gonna have to try that one out tonight.
4) some more perfume
5) a book that has all the lyrics to the Beatles' songs in it, along with some crazy fantastic artwork.
6) a book about the history of the Beatles.
7) a Beatles calendar
8) a really cool framed picture of a few covers from Beatles albums. (hand made)
9) oh, and a scarf from Aeropostle

Got a lot of neat stuff.

The one thing I'm bragging about, more or less, is that I got drunk christmas eve after we opened presents. I dont know what I was given but it was good.

I'm gonna go find some left overs.

Hope ya'll had a safe and fantastic holiday!

12.21.08

So its almost Christmas. I'm getting excited. For the presents of course... :D

There's lots of presents under the tree. But then again, there's like three times as many people that will be at my house this year than any other year. Hooray for a big house.

I'm procrastinating right now. A group of people I know are having a Secret Santa thing. Its not like a face to face thing =\ We draw or write something for whom we are "secret santa-ing". It's been a yearly thing for a few years and I've stood on the sidelines and watched. But this year I decided to get into it and its harder than I thought :( I had an idea last night but of course I didnt have my notebook to write it down and, being in the movie theater, I couldnt pull out my phone and type it in. Blast the darkness of the theater!!!

So, I'm blogging randomly while I try to remember what it was.

But sadly I cant think of anything else to say except...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

12.9.08

Alright, I got a bit of news today.

First off, I had a doctor appointment today. Well, two actually, one was a last minute thing. Both were about my knee; I been having problems for a while now and I figured maybe I should get it checked out. My first appointment was at 8.20 this morning, sucks, I know! I even got lost trying to find the building because I never been there before. But I found it with minutes to spare. You know how when you have doctor appointments, and the doctor's nurse comes in first to check your pulse and play 21 questions with you before the doctor has a chance? Yeah. I hate that part. It's like "you wont diagnose anything for me so back off." But I had to suffer through it like anyone else. Then he's like, "Ok, doc wants another set of x-rays so I'm gonna give you a pair of shorts to borrow." I says ok and changed in to the ugly shorts they provide. I had the x-rays. Doc comes in when its developed (finally, bastard! where've you been!) and tells me that my knee cap is completely off center from where it should be. I was like damn... And then he says that it makes my joints grind together which is causing arthritis. Great! Another thing I have to deal with in the future. Then he says he wants to do an MRI (magnetic resonance image, magnets! cool!) which was the second appointment i had. An MRI is the most boring-est thing in the entire fucking world. If you never had an MRI, you lay on an uncomfortable bed for 45 minutes. Seems nice so far. UNTIL they tell you you cant move the entire time, one wrong move and the whole thing is ruined and you'll have to start over. Plus, since it deals with magnetic imaging, you cant have a cell phone in there! FUCK! I'm tellin ya. I was bored out of my skull. Until I figured out, hey... I can take a nap because its semi-dark in there. So I took a nap but as soon as I got to sleep, it was over! DAMN IT! And since you cant move, your circulation stops the whole time so once you get up its like... woah... blood starts flowing again. Awkward feeling. But anyway, doc says if theres a tear in the cartiledge in my knee then I'm fucked for the rest of my life cuz I'm too young to get it fixed now. But if there's not, (which i'm hoping for) then I have to have a start out of 6 weeks of physical therapy, then a 6 week check up. Blah.

So that's that set of news. Now for another set.

My dad's gf, Donna, kept hounding me this afternoon to make up my mind about going to Highland Community College. I decided I will go but have not decided on when. Well, at least, not until now. So she was hounding me and hounding me and finally I gave in and says, "Ok, ok! I'll go next semester." So that was that. I'm going to Highland next semester, tomorrow I will go to Highland to meet with an advisor and make up my schedule for that semester. Woop woop!

But the cool part about Highland is: I'm guaranteed a scholarship for tuition and books which is a good chunk of money. Of course, there's a catch. Each department has their own set of standards one has to meet in order to keep the scholarship every semester. I'm going into Computer Graphics which is in the Business department. So I have to keep up 3 things: 1) maintain a 2.5 gpa (no prob) 2) be enrolled in 6 credit hours of Business courses per semester (ok...) and 3) be an active member of BPA (which is Business Principles of America, not a big deal, I was in that in high school). So I'm looking forward to being an active college student. Wee.

I think this is my longest post yet. But I'm not sure... Its long enough I think. And that's all the news I got so yeah.

Catch ya later.

AHHHHH

Now I'm gonna rant.

While I was at the mall with my friend Chase, I got a text message. It was about President-Elect Obama. I understand that there are people that dont like him but I do and I would appretiate it if these kinds of messages would not be sent to my phone. Kay? Thanks.

Jen: FWD: If an apple and obama were dropped from the same tree, who/what would hit the ground first? The apple because obama's rope would stop him half way down.

Naturally, I got pissed. And here's what I said (thanks to Chase)

Me: It's a good thing he had a bungee chord then.

Of course, a bungee chord wasnt intended in the making of this stupid "joke".

Jen: But he's black. His place is to be hanging from a tree like the slave times.
Me: That's fucking racist.
Jen: It's a joke. Calm down.
Me: Dont tell me to calm down because that's not funny and a joke is suppose to be funny.

After that, I got no response. I'm guessing we're not on speaking terms anymore?
Oh well, fine with me.

Bitch.

Why is it when I clean my room, I only make it messier in the process?

I mean really. It doesnt seam like it, but I'm definately a freak about organization. As every teenager's excuse about a messy room, "atleast I know where everything is." Exactly my point. Now, when I clean, I have multiple piles of stuff: theres the trash pile, dirty clothes, clean clothes, and useless junk I cant quite throw away yet. Four piles, small room, not enough space. So, I tend to throw the useless junk and clean clothes on my bed which I then sort later when I have more floor space into clothes I actually want to keep, useless junk that goes in drawers, and useless junk that goes in my closet. The clothes I decide to keep then get seperated into clothes that go int he closet and clothes that go in drawers. I have two dressers, which is nice, one for clothes and one for junk lol. Usually when I start cleaning, I have the motivation, but THEN a really great movie comes on which of course, I start watching then lose all interest in cleaning my room. Sometimes, someone asks if I wanna go do something, most of the time I say sure, so my room never gets clean the day I want it done. Come midnight, when I wanna go to bed, I HAVE NO BED. All my clean clothes and useless junk inhabit it. I dont wanna throw it on the floor because I'd have to pick it up another day - screw that. That equals more work for me. So where do I sleep? Good question. I also have a really comfy chair in my room which is sleep-on worthy. So that's where I'll probably be. haha.
Once I finally get back to cleaning, at the very end, I organize things on my dressers so it looks neat but still has the teenage touch of untidyness.

And voila, clean room but of course, not for long. Hehe.
That's my story for the day.
Check my other blog, mdfritz.blogspot.com, for some extra fun stuff.

Break time!

That's right.

My last class today was my english class, which only lasted 15 minutes out of the hour and 15 minutes its suppose to last which rocked BUT I walked all the way there for nothing. That kind of stuff pisses me off. But like OMG WAIT A SECOND... RANDOM NOTE: I'm sitting in the union and a I was watching this little kid about 4 or 5 years old running around AND HE RAN INTO A BAR! I laughed on the inside cuz the mom was laughing and so was the kid so he must not've hit it that hard. Ok, tangent over. Back to what I was saying. ..... What was I saying?... OH YEAH! Ok so like I never go to my class Friday mornings, but I might tomorrow just to get my test back. Then that's it for me until after thanksgiving break. Joyous! I GET TO SLEEP NOW!!! Success!

Alright, I gotta head to a play.

Have a good night/weekend/holiday break.

Car Wash

I love the movie "Shark Tales" but that's not what my post is about.

I mean an actual car wash story!

So I took my dirty little car to the car wash. I got there, the lines were really long but I waited cuz my care needed it. I finally got up to the pay thing right before you get into the car wash stall, inserted my card, selected the type, yadda yadda yah. Got into the stall and i was getting wet. Then I looked over and forgot to roll a couple windows up! My glasses got a nice wash as did my hair/face/everything else. It was great. The guy in the car behind me was just cracking up. Ha ha buddy, it was real funny. Loved it when you sprayed yourself with windex after your car wash.

11.12.08

I absolutely love Wednesdays. And I'll tell you why.

Wednesdays, I dont have to work and I only have one class at 2:30. And it's a fun class. I enjoy it. I really do.

Right now I'm watching Brokeback Mountain, been wanting to see it for a long time.

On a random thought, you know how "gangstas" always wear their pants below their ass? Well I've been wondering how they stay up without a belt or someone holding them up. Do they have an anti-gravitational force I dont know about? If so, I want one.

I'm gonna fix lunch and finish watching my movie.

HAVE A FAN-FLIPPIN-TASTIC DAY!

'08 Election

Barack Obama and Joe Biden won the election by like alot.

Obama/Biden where at 220 electoral votes when the polls on the west coast closed. California had 55 electoral votes to give and Obama took California! Which put him at 275 and he only need 270 to win! How exciting to watch. Even though everyone who voted and the candidates are all apart of history now, I feel like I didnt do much since McCain won my state of Kansas. Sigh. But who cares! OBAMA WON!

Now I cant wait until January 20 when Bush is out and Obama is in!

CONGRATS BARACK OBAMA & JOE BIDEN!
Change we can believe in!

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

I voted!

That's right. I voted. I spent my time in line and got my "I Voted" sticker which is now happily placed on the back of my phone. I know, cheesy place to put it.

With the election, I wanted to point out one thing. About Sarah Palin being pranked by French-Canadians. These French-Canadians somehow called Sarah Palin and pretended to be the president of France. The sad part: SHE BELIEVED IT! Goodness gracious.

A vote for Obama, is a vote for change!
Vote Obama/Biden '08

Monday, November 3, 2008

So... tomorrow is Election day... hoorah... I know for sure who I want to be president, but as for the senators, representatives, yadda yadda yah people, i have no clue. I might leave those blank... and the smoking ordinance.. VOTE YES.

I have this song in my head. Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold". "You're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no, you're in then you're out, you're up then you're down, you're wrong when it's right, it's black then it's white, we fight we break up, we kiss we make up." It's catchy and I loves it. My favorite song at the moment.

As for homework, I still have some sadly. But I'll be up a while because i always watch "The Late Late show with Craig Ferguson" He's from Scotland and absolutely amazing. Idk. I tend to go for people with accents. Especially UK ones (everyone should know that by now... I'm a huge UK fan for all you real UK peeps. And no, I DONT mean the University of Kentucky. Gosh) *yawn* I'm kinda tired.

OH OH OH story time. OK. So this morning at 7 am, I get this text message so my ringtone plays and me being really tired, thought it was my alarm. So I started beating up my alarm clock cuz i thought it was the bastard playing the loud song. Then I looked at my phone which was lite up and was like "Oh.. I feel stupid right now.." True story.

There's another good song that just came on that I love at the moment and that would be Kevin Rudolf's "Let It Rock"
"Because when I arrive
I bring the fire
Make you come alive
I can take you higher
What this is? Forgot?
I must now remind you
Let It Rock
Let It Rock
Let It Rock"

I dont normaly go for the "rap" sort of songs but this one is one of those songs that will get stuck in your head for weeks which means its a good song.

I've wasted enough time here so now i'll go do my homework so I can pay more attention to Mr. Craig Ferguson at 11:30! Woop Woop!

Peace out.

I totally rock

Mainly because i am posting from my cell phone! True story. Its not that difficult but i also have a phone with a full keyboard. I cant start a new paragraph which sucks but oh well. So anyway, i cant post much cuz my phone wont let me. So laterz!

College...

It's a great thing. Seriously.

In high school, I had 7 classes a day and was expected to remember all my assignments and due dates and stuff like that. My teachers then told me it was to prepare me for college. Well, I have some words for them. WRONG!

In college, all my teachers email me REMINDERS about assignments, due dates, events, etc. Plus I can check my grades and class calendars online. It just makes me laugh. I dont have to remember anything. Literally. I dont even have to call in to class to say I wont be there. Like this morning, I had a class at 10:30, its currently 10:42 and I'm at home. College is awesome. Now if I can just get my grades up.

I could survive for 1 minute, 9 seconds chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor

Created by Bunk Beds Pedia

1 Minute and 9 seconds, eh. Just enough time to plan a goodbye blog!

Anywho.. with the presidential election coming up, I figured I might read up on some stuff i miss during the day when I'm in class. I have come to a conclusion that John McCain is a liar! He says that if elected, he will change the economy for the better BUT is exactly like Bush! He's a recycled Bush. Also, according to The New York Times newspaper, the percentage of people who did NOT support McCain last month is up 10% this month (35% in September, 45% in October). The percentage of supporters did not change (remaining at 36%). As for Sarah Palin, the percentage of supporters dropped 5% (35% in Sept. 30% in Oct.) The percentage of people who do NOT support Sarah Palin, increased by 12% (29% in Sept. 41% in Oct.)

Now, obviously I'm not a Republican or I would be pissed at this information. However, there are still two other awesome guys left for me to report statistics on. Still in accordance to The New York Times, the percentage of supports increased 14% (36% in Sept. 50% in Oct.) The percentage of non supporters did not change (remaining at 14%). For Barak Obama, the percentage of supporters increased 10% (43% in Sept. 53% in Oct.) But sadly, the percentage of non supporters increased 7% (26% in Sept. 33% in Oct.) Which puts Obama ahead of McLame by 17% which is pretty dang good.

Final statement: If McCain wins, I'm moving to Canada.

No classes today... what?!

That's right. I have NO classes today. All of them canceled due to MIA teachers. WOOHOO!

On another note... I have a new car. It's a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. It's beautiful and nice and i have friends who are jealous like MISTI who tried to kick it. Then tried to race me down the highway in her junker. HAHA and who lost, MISTI?! That's right. Not me.

So, I'm learning how to play the guitar... again. Acoustic, that is. Chase is learning the Electric. And according to my dvd, an Acoustic guitar is a great guitar to have because it adds... in my terms... "flavor" to an Electric guitar. GO ME.

Monday, October 13, 2008

I'm up at this hour for one reason and one reason only.

I'M SICK! BAD!

I think I might have strep throat but either way i still have to go to work in 7 hours and class in 14 hours.

I hate being sick cuz it keeps me up this late. Bloody bastardly sickness.

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

So I havent updated in a while and I'm being bugged by Chase to update.

OK so, Monday September 29, 2008 my sister had her baby! It's a boy, 7 pounds 7 ounces, 19.5 inches long. He's the cutest little thing evar! And yes, the "a" in "evar" was necessary.

I'm at the union now... blogging while Chase is reading me ruminations from www.ruminations.com which is a pretty funny site. GO THERE NOW!

It's cold outside.

There's a random picture thingy on the other side of the room.

I just ate Panda Express which is awesome.

I got a hair cut.

It's really short.

Which makes it seem colder than it really is.

I have 3 weeks from this saturday until I can take my eyebrow ring out.

I'm pretty stoked.

This is getting long.

I should stop.

Stopping.

Successful day!

I had a good day....

It all started out when I woke up at 5:33 am. I went to roll over but... what was there?! MY SISTER! For pete's sake. A little warning would've been AWESOME. But NO, I had to find this out on my own. I'm telling ya... I was like woah... hai... So I stayed put and went back to sleep.

After I got up, got breakfast (had waffles btw), and went potty, oh and showered of course, I headed off to math class but did I go? Nope. Had a test in Mass Communications to study for that I totally forgot about. So I studied for that. I did good I think. After my Mass Comm class, I went to the union with my lovie, Lukus, and we hung out in the bookstore. I bought a poster that is 40" by 55" of what you may ask? THE BEATLES!!! That's right! I have a huge poster of THE BEATLES!!!

Anyway, after my last class (Expos 1), I went and saw SWEENEY TODD!! In play form! IT WAS REALLY GOOD! I'm still really excited about it. I loved it. I wish I could see it over and over.

Now I'm home after a quick stop at Sonic for some munchies. I should probably hit the hay soon, early start tomorrow.

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Been a while since i posted... so I'll post now!

So far, taking care of my eyebrow ring isnt that bad except when I accidentally push too hard. There's a bruise around the ring and its slowly spreading to my eye lid... It's kinda gross actually. Speaking of which I need to get bigger cotton balls cuz the ones I have are too tiny...

I'm sitting in the Union now and will be for the next half hour until my English class. I had to write a paper but I thought it was due Thursday... aparently its due today and I was like damn it... So I tried to get it done but what I need I couldnt find... Thankfully its only a ROUGH DRAFT!!!! Phew. After my English class, I have a math test.... hoorah... Not looking forward to that.

I just had a Blueberry Icee..... it was delish. I might go get the white cherry one now cuz it was good and I want another one..

So, there's this guy. I've known him for 4 years and I love him to death. His name is Josh and he lives in Canada... I've seen him a couple times when he comes to the US. Both of us, as well as millions of people around the WORLD, are on a gaming site and the hosts of the site host a live party twice a year in KC which is like RIGHT FUCKING THERE! I wanna go... I'm gonna try to go next time. We'll have to see when it is. <3>

Well, I still have 28 minutes til my class... I'll probably go get food or something.. laterz.

Saturday, September 13, 2008

Woohoo!

H'okay, so, here's the earth, round....

That's been in my head all day. Now on to the real news!

I finally got my eyebrow pierced. I nearly hyperventilated before I actually had it done. It was really painless for the most part. The guy that did it was really funny, made me laugh and calmed me down before hand. I thought it was funny when after he had the ring in he was like "Oh, by the way, this might give you a black eye." I was like, "Thanks for the notice." But no really, it wasnt horrible like I kept thinking it would be.

So now I'm really tired. Only got 5 hours of sleep last night due to too much excitement. I'm going to take a nap.... will have pictures soon!

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

AHHHH!!!!!

So, I bought Spore today cuz I wanted it. But when I got it home and tried to load it onto my computer, it wouldnt work. Turns out I dont have enough RAM to run the game. So I took it back to walmart and they were like "you cant return it because you could've copied it onto your computer." So I was like "I cant even play the game without the cd anyway so what the hell.." and then they were like "well its a violation of the copyright law" so I was like "ok, whatever." So I took the game and left. Chase told me to try selling it to GameStop but it was closed so I went to Hastings and they told me they couldnt buy it from me because of the same damn reason walmart wouldnt take it back. So then I was like ugh... what am I gonna do now.. So I offered to sell it to one of my friends and thankfully Hazel is gonna take it off my hands. LOVE YA!! I could've bought more RAM but that means taking my computer apart and I dont feel like doing that. Maybe I can just get the DS version of it. Its not a must have thing for me anyway.

Now that that's out of my system... time to work on some homework. Joy....

Sickyness...

It's been 4 days since i caught the sickyness. 4 FLIPPIN DAYS!! I'm getting tired of the sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny nose... UGH! HAZEL!! You said this would last up to 4 days LIAR!! I did manage to infect my dad tho.... Plan to infect the town: in process.

On another note, I'm tired as hell. Thankfully I only have one class today and it isnt until 2:30 so I still have a couple hours to relax. YAY! I'm trying to finish up some homework that's due today at 5:30 so I dont have to rush to get it done after class. After this, I should get crackin on some math homework... welcome to college, dad says.

On another another note.... so I'm getting my eyebrow pierced this weekend IF Hazel follows through with getting her ears pierced. She said she would so.. LOOK OUT!

Ok.. thats all for now. LATERZ

I survived?! AMAZING

First of all, this is my firstest blog evar. How exciting.

So today, Chase and I bravely faced Lawrence, home of the Jayhawks, while wearing purple/Wildcats all day. The drive down there was nice. Got to enjoy the scenery I never get to see anymore. We did good until we got into Lawrence. Then we got lost a few times but eh, we made it back safely.

When we got there, we visited the dorms where Hazel's friends told us to burn our clothes and that K-State sucks. Atleast we didnt get jumped. Then we went to Mass. St. and went to a restaraunt for some thai food. It was really good. Then we walked down Mass. St. looking for the ice cream place when we found a British store called Brits. I love that store. I bought a UK flag cuz everyone knows I'm obsessed with the UK. I bought a foreign candy bar too. It was quite delish. After the British store, we kept walking and finally reached the ice cream store where they had like.. 10 different kinds of ice cream and a gazillion toppings. I love that place too. THEN we went to Borders and spent like 2 hours there for some fun. I bought one of my friends a penguin. ^_^ I've yet to give it to him but eventually I will.

When we finally got back into Manhattan (thank the heavens, btw..) we went to Zuckey bowl to meet my sister and her friends. We had some nachos covered in cheese and chili. Oh, and fries too, also covered in cheese and chili. It was good until it started getting boring cuz of the amount of cheese and chili. Then we packed up and headed towards campus to catch the Movie on the Grass called I Know I'm Not Alone. It was a good movie if I do say so myself.

Now I'm home and resting up for work tomorrow, yippee.
